Shipping & Return Policy (KNJ) Kiana Numismatic & Jewelry

Because apparently, modern commerce requires several paragraphs explaining that shipping valuable jewelry and coins through the mail is a delicate exercise in controlled anxiety.

Shipping Policy

All orders are shipped with:

  • Signature-required delivery
  • Full insurance coverage
  • Secure packaging

Once an order has shipped, tracking information will be provided when available.

If your package arrives damaged:

  1. Retain all original packaging materials
  2. Take clear photos of the package and damaged item(s)

KNJ will promptly initiate a claim with the shipping carrier and insurance provider when applicable.


Return Policy Overview

Due to the nature of precious metals, coins, jewelry, bullion, and collectible items, all sales are generally final.

Returns are accepted only in the following circumstances:

  • The item received is materially different from the listing description
  • The item was damaged during transit
  • The wrong item was shipped

All claims must be reported within 7 calendar days of confirmed delivery. Claims submitted after 7 days may be denied.


Items Not as Described / Transit Damage

If you believe your item was damaged in transit or materially differs from its description, please contact KNJ within 7 days of delivery.

Please include:

  • Your order number
  • A detailed description of the issue
  • Clear photographs of the item and packaging

If KNJ determines that the item is materially not as described or was damaged during shipment:

  • A return authorization will be issued
  • Return instructions will be provided
  • A prepaid return shipping label may be supplied at our discretion
  • Return shipping costs will be covered by KNJ when the claim is approved

Returned items must:

  • Be in original condition
  • Include all original packaging, tags, certificates, and accessories
  • Show no signs of wear, alteration, resizing, cleaning, or damage after delivery

Discretionary Returns / Buyer’s Remorse

Returns requested for reasons other than an approved “not as described” claim are accepted solely at KNJ’s discretion.

If approved:

  • The customer is responsible for return shipping costs
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable
  • A 50% restocking fee will apply
  • Refunds will be reduced by applicable shipping and restocking fees

Items must be returned in original condition with all packaging and included materials.

KNJ reserves the right to:

  • Refuse returns that show signs of wear, damage, modification, or misuse
  • Assess additional fees for missing components or diminished value

Yes, fifty percent is steep. Precious metals and collectible markets move fast, humans change their minds faster, and shipping insured valuables back and forth is not a recreational activity.


Refunds & Exchanges

Approved refunds will be issued either:

  • To the original payment method, or
  • As store credit, at the customer’s choice, where applicable

Please allow 7–10 business days after receipt and inspection of the returned item for processing.

Exchanges, when available, follow the same approval process and conditions as returns.


International Orders

KNJ currently ships only within the United States.

Orders involving:

  • Freight forwarders
  • Mail forwarding companies
  • Third-party international shipping services

are placed entirely at the buyer’s risk.

For orders forwarded internationally through third parties:

  • No returns will be accepted
  • No refunds will be issued
  • No damage claims will be honored

Once a package is delivered to the forwarding service or designated domestic address, KNJ’s responsibility ends.

Tiny gold objects traveling through three countries and two warehouse hubs while everyone insists “it’ll probably be fine” is not a business model anyone should trust.


Return Authorization Requirement

All returns must be pre-authorized by KNJ.

Do not ship items back without receiving:

  • Written approval
  • Return instructions
  • Any applicable return shipping documentation

Unauthorized returns may be refused and returned to the sender.


Policy Updates & Rights

Kiana Numismatic & Jewelry (KNJ) reserves the right to:

  • Refuse returns that do not comply with this policy
  • Update or modify this policy at any time without prior notice
