1917-P Walking Liberty Half Dollar 50 Cents Philadelphia Mint

1917-P Walking Liberty Half Dollar, struck at the Philadelphia Mint. This classic early 20th-century American silver coin features Adolph A. Weinman's iconic Walking Liberty design on the obverse, depicting Liberty walking toward the rising sun, with the American eagle displayed on the reverse. The coin is circulated and exhibits moderate to heavy overall wear consistent with its age and circulation history. Both sides show noticeable softness and loss of detail on the high points, particularly Liberty's figure and the eagle's feathers. The date and major lettering remain legible. The surfaces display natural toning, scattered contact marks, and general circulation abrasions. The coin features the inscriptions LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and the date 1917 on the obverse, with UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and HALF DOLLAR on the reverse. A desirable early-date example from the Walking Liberty Half Dollar series, which was issued from 1916 through 1947. A nice collectible for U.S. coin collectors, silver enthusiasts, and those building a complete Walking Liberty Half Dollar collection.
