1986 and 1991 offered a lot of two United States Mint Prestige Proof Sets. These collectible sets feature specially struck proof coins with brilliant finishes and sharp details, housed in their original U.S. Mint presentation cases. The 1986 Prestige Set commemorates the Statue of Liberty Centennial and Ellis Island, featuring a commemorative silver dollar and half dollar along with the regular proof coinage for the year. Both sets feature beautifully detailed proof strikes and make attractive additions to a collection of U.S. commemorative coins, modern proof sets, or American numismatic history. The 1991 Prestige Set celebrates the 50th anniversary of Mount Rushmore and includes the commemorative Mount Rushmore half dollar, together with the regular proof coinage.
