1915-S Barber Half Dollar, struck at the San Francisco Mint during the final year of the Barber Half Dollar series (1892-1915). Designed by Charles E. Barber, this classic U.S. silver coin is a favorite among collectors due to its historic significance and the lower mintages of many San Francisco issues. VF-20 Details (Very Fine). The obverse features Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap adorned with a laurel wreath, surrounded by thirteen stars and the motto IN GOD WE TRUST. The reverse depicts the heraldic eagle with shield, olive branch, arrows, and the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and HALF DOLLAR. The "S" mintmark is visible below the eagle on the reverse. This example exhibits attractive original silver-gray surfaces with honest circulation wear. Liberty's portrait remains well defined, major wreath details are visible, and the reverse eagle retains considerable feather detail for the grade. The coin would make an excellent addition to a Barber-type set or a complete Barber Half Dollar collection.
